Here, I'm from Texas. A few years ago, I was incredibly tempted to attend a festival in San Antonio merely to catch a glimpse of him. It just didn't happen because my friends didn't want to spend the money and I couldn't cover everyone, and man, I regret that so much now.

Recently, I was discussing with my partner which artists we would both love to see perform live. Naturally, I mentioed BeatKing, who is arguably the only non-mainstream artist on our list.

I even went out with some family a few weekends ago to celebrate my cousin's birthday. On the way to the section, I used my sister's aux cord to play one of his songs and get into the club vibe.

Reactions from People: Hey, dude? What the devil is this? BeatKing was, without a doubt, one of my favorite and most overlooked rappers. About 2017, I learned about Club God 4 for the first time.

This guy has been a mainstay of the club scene for the last 14 years or so, dropping nothing but sick tracks from Crush to Outside. I apologize for not releasing another hit.

Godspeed.

This guy was a hilarious producer who did crazy do-it-yourself videos, had a great sense of humor, and made beats that were a masterful fusion of Texas and Memphis styles. This loss is extremely noteworthy. RIP.
