Diddy: Sean 'Diddy' Combs faces charges of forced sex trafficking and conspiratorial racketeering.

On Tuesday, September 17, Sean "Diddy" Combs is scheduled to appear in court in New York City due to federal sex crimes allegations against him. According to a federal indictment, the 54-year-old music mogul was accused of sex trafficking, conspiring to commit racketeering, and transporting people to engage in prostitution.

Based on a then-sealed indictment filed by prosecutors, federal agents detained Combs on Monday, September 16, according to the US Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York. The arrest happened at a hotel in New York City, according to sources who previously told Mr USA Trend.

Reporters were informed by Combs' lawyer Marc Agnifilo outside the courtroom on Tuesday that the celebrity would fight the allegations "with all his energy." Agnifilo continued, "He's going to enter a not guilty plea, of course." Prosecutors claim in the 14-page indictment that the music producer forced several women to engage in "elaborate and produced sex performances" with sex workers, calling the encounters "freak offs."

Prosecutors claim that Combs not only planned and oversaw the "freak offs," but also recorded the events and engaged in self-gratification as he observed them. After Combs was named in multiple lawsuits alleging sexual abuse, federal agents raided his homes in Miami and Los Angeles in March.
Singer Cassie filed a lawsuit against him in New York in November of last year, claiming that he had raped her during their ten-year romance. One day after it was filed, the lawsuit was settled.

According to a letter sent to the judge on Tuesday, Sean "Diddy" Combs' lawyers are arguing that the media mogul ought to be released on bail prior to a trial.
It follows from earlier statements made by federal prosecutors that he ought to remain detained while the racketeering and sex trafficking cases against him are being handled.
The letter from Combs' legal team assured the judge that their client "is not a danger to anyone in the community or a risk of flight." Contrarily, in the detention letter outlining Combs' resources, prosecutors claimed that Combs posed a flight risk "even without a passport, private plane, or multiple residences."

When it became clear that Combs would face formal charges, the defense lawyers claimed that he "travelled to New York to self-surrender." Combs's lawyers claimed that this and other instances in the letter demonstrating his cooperation during the investigation demonstrate his "trustworthiness and lack of flight risk."

The Southern District of New York US Attorney's Office has filed a three-count federal indictment against hip-hop artist Sean "Diddy" Combs, summarizing the numerous and grave accusations leveled against him. Three charges were brought against Combs: transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking, and racketeering conspiracy.

Notes on the indictment 2016 footage of Combs assaulting a woman: The indictment accuses Combs of mistreating his girlfriend, artist Cassie Ventura, for years. It also mentions a surveillance video that CNN was the only source to have access to, which shows Combs beating Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016. According to the indictment, Combs "engaged in a persistent and pervasive pattern of abuse toward women and other individuals." "There were moments when this abuse was verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual."

During raids on Combs' residences, law enforcement found firearms and "Freak Off" supplies: During searches of Combs' homes in Miami and Los Angeles in March, law enforcement found guns, ammunition, drugs, and a sizable amount of baby oil and lubricant, according to the indictment. According to the indictment, Combs performed elaborate sex acts known as "Freak Offs," where he drugged and forced his victims into having long sex acts with male sex workers. Furthermore, according to the indictment, Combs' associates occasionally possessed firearms, and Combs is accused of brandishing a firearm "to intimidate and threaten others."

A former member of Sean "Diddy" Combs' musical group Danity Kane is "glad the DOJ has decided to pursue" charges against the media mogul, according to the lawyer representing the client, who is hoping for a fair trial, In a civil suit filed last week in federal court in New York, Dawn Richard has accused Combs of sexual battery, sexual harassment, and false imprisonment, among other things. Above all, her lawyer, Arick Fudali, stated that his client's main goal is for the truth to be revealed.

Although Sean "Diddy" Combs is attempting to sell both his plane and his Los Angeles home, federal prosecutors contend that he should remain detained as the racketeering and sex trafficking case against him is being handled.

Combs has "access to dozens of bank accounts — some personal and many under corporate entities — which contain millions of dollars," according to a letter filed by the prosecutors. Additionally, according to the letter, Combs has owned several cars in different places and a personal plane since roughly 2019.

Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, has listed some of the objects that were taken into custody during raids on Sean "Diddy" Combs' Miami and Los Angeles properties in March of this year. Law enforcement seized a number of items, including ammunition, an AR-15 rifle, and a large capacity drum magazine. Electronic proof of Combs's "freak offs" was also taken by them.
According to the indictment, which was made public on Tuesday, Combs arranged for the transportation of commercial sex workers both domestically and abroad during a "freak off" sex performance. These "occurred regularly, sometimes lasted several days, and frequently involved several commercial sex workers," according to the report.
