 Williford, Blake Car Accident, Obituary, Death, Visitation, and Funeral Service in Prairie Grove, AR. Coach Blake Williford died on Thursday morning, 

July 17, 2025, in a head-on collision on Viney Grove Road at Goose Creek Road. The Prairie Grove School District mourns his passing with great sadness and respect. The mishap happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. Investigations into the crash's specifics are ongoing, although the second car's driver was hurt. 

On July 1st, Coach Williford became the Defensive Coordinator and ISS Supervisor at Prairie Grove High School. Despite his brief stay with us, his presence had a profound effect right away. Coach Williford, who was well-known for his love of the game and dedication to student-athletes, brought heart, spirit, and leadership to the field and campus. 

Everyone who met him could see how excited he was to join the PGHS Tigers. Coach Williford had established a reputable football coaching career at the Jay, Sand Springs, and McLain School Districts prior to coming to Prairie Grove. 

Throughout his tenure, his players, teammates, and the larger school communities he served held him in high regard as a mentor and motivator. Both our school and the entire Prairie Grove community are very saddened by Coach Williford's untimely death. 

We shall never forget his unwavering love for football, his kind disposition, and his commitment to child development. We send our deepest sympathies to his friends, family, teammates, and other coaches during this extremely trying time.

 As we work through this loss together, staff and kids will have access to grief counselors and support resources.

You can relax, Coach Williford. A Tiger is a Tiger forever.
