Cause of Death: Heartbroken Mother, Archana Nayar laments daughter's passing Maya Nayar Solon, OH Obituary

 The village of Solon is in mourning at the sudden death of Maya Nayar, who died quietly while sleeping on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Though short, Maya's life was full of compassion, purpose, and a tremendous commitment to changing the world. She was a daughter, friend, and inspiration to many.

In a moving remembrance, Maya's mother, Archana Nayar, said, "Maya loved life and everyone in it." "She left me with facts that now light my path, yet nothing can fill the gap she left in our hearts."

Maya, a proud citizen of Solon, excelled as a smart and curious student at Solon High School because of her passion for language, history, and the social sciences. She was accepted as a Morrill Scholar and Honors Student at The Ohio State University, where she is anticipated to graduate in 2029, as a result of her exceptional academic ability and profound sensitivity.

However, Maya's goals went beyond recognition. She wanted to be of service. She combined her love of animals with a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of others when she raised a guide dog for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

Maya was a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo outside of the classroom. She enjoyed teaching martial arts to kids and instilled confidence in her young charges by being patient and disciplined. She demonstrated leadership in her school community by serving on the executive board of the Key Club and participating actively in the Solon Speech & Debate team, where she directed her energies into public speaking, advocacy, and service.

Luminous, according to those who knew her, she was a young lady whose generosity, determination, and brilliant smile left a lasting impression. Maya had enormous dreams, but she also showed courage, compassion, and charity in modest ways. Maya's legacy will endure through the persons she impacted, the passions she pursued, and the values she upheld, even as the Solon and OSU communities grieve this devastating loss.

Even though Maya is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in every deed of kindness, every audacious idea, and every heart that never gives up on improving the world. Hours of Visitation
