 Devin Lezama's Cause of Death and Obituary: We regret to inform you of the untimely and tragic death of our cherished founder and CEO, Devin Lezama, at the young age of 37.

Devin was a visionary, a leader, and most importantly, a deeply compassionate person. He was a proud New Yorker with roots in Trinidad. Born in April 1988, he infused everything he touched with a special fusion of creativity, heart, and purpose. Devin was no stranger to the dance music scene, having been a part of the Ground Control team and a graduate of the New York Film Academy School of Visual Arts. He had lived, breathed, and influenced it.

Devin used his camera to document experiences at innumerable festivals and dance floors, creating deep bonds that eventually turned into enduring friendships and an international family. He served as a link between creativity and care because of his knowledge of both safety and storytelling. He was fostering, defending, and advancing rave culture rather than only recording it.

Devin also quietly supported philanthropic endeavors in Trinidad, his family's native country, in the background alongside his parents. He donated without expecting praise, driven by a deep-seated sense of humility and a desire to help others. He put forth endless effort, frequently in silence, but always for the good of others. He was that person. Around 3 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2024, we learned of Devin's death for the first time. The precise reason and timing of death are still unknown. We do know that we are in excruciating anguish and that his loss is incalculable.

As we go through this enormous sadness, we kindly ask for your patience and kindness to everyone who knew and loved him, including his family, friends, collaborators, and the dynamic community he helped create. Devin's vision for EDM Maniac, its sister companies, and all that the Maniac universe represents will endure. We now share responsibility for his legacy. We shall uphold the principles he so fervently held in his honor:

Peace, love, harmony, deference, accountability, adventure, curiosity, and inventiveness. And above all—behaving like a real Maniac when it comes to anything you love in life. Devin, your vision endures in every pulse, every light, and every dance floor. Your enthusiasm was infectious, and your soul was explosive. Without much fanfare, but with genuineness, modesty, and purpose, you transformed lives.
