Meyers, Daphne Obituary, Cause of Death, Warrenton, GA: Daphne Meyers, a former teacher at Lil Bo Peep, was killed following a domestic argument in Warren County

 After Warrenton resident Daphne Meyers, 38, was shot and killed, Charles Jeffery was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Authorities said the incident occurred early Saturday morning after a domestic disagreement that escalated into violence.



A GBI news release states that on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at around 3:30 a.m., the Warren County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a shooting at a home in the 200 block of Phelps Drive. When responding deputies got there, they discovered Daphne Meyers with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. She was declared dead at the scene despite attempts to save her life.


According to investigators, a preliminary investigation into the incident showed that Jeffrey and Meyers had a domestic argument during which Jeffrey allegedly shot Meyers dead with a pistol. The public has not yet been given any information regarding the nature of their relationship or the circumstances surrounding the disagreement.


Later, Charles Jeffery was arrested and placed under arrest at the McDuffie County Detention Center, where he is now being held while additional legal actions are being conducted. Authorities are still looking into the facts surrounding the crime and have asked the jail facility for his booking photo.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading the ongoing investigation in collaboration with the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
