The 54-year-old victim of a fatal motorcycle accident was identified as Tobin Rueckl, also known as "De Pere man," from the Township of Franklin.

 The terrible death of Tobin Rueckl, a 54-year-old man, in a motorcycle accident on County Highway G, north of Taus Road, in the Township of Franklin, has left the town of De Pere in mourning. Another rider, Cody Zahn, 30, of Brillion, was engaged in the collision, which happened on Friday night, July 25.

Investigators claim that:

When Tobin lost control, he was traveling north on a 2010 Harley-Davidson.

The incident also caused Cody, who was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson, to lose control.

Tobin was fatally injured after being flung from his motorcycle.

Cody was taken to a local hospital after suffering serious injuries.

Speed and drunkenness were key causes, and neither rider had a helmet on.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the Wisconsin State Patrol is reconstructing the entire collision.

Sheriff Dan Hartwig thanked the emergency personnel who came to the scene and offered his condolences to the impacted families.
