 The city of Atlanta, Georgia, is deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Antonio L. Speed, a well-known educator, leader, and businessman.


Antonio's loss is profoundly felt by his family, friends, coworkers, and the many people he touched over his journey. He was well-known for his commitment to both his professional endeavors and his personal relationships.


Antonio, who was born and reared in North Miami, Florida, eventually settled in Atlanta, where he established himself as a trustworthy, successful professional who was dedicated to perfection.


His varied career, which included positions in business leadership and education, demonstrated his adaptability. Antonio worked for Fulton County Schools as an assistant principal and health educator, where he mentored and guided parents, teachers, and students.


He pursued entrepreneurship as the CEO of Speed Quality Property Inspections, combining his love of service and meticulous attention to detail, in addition to his job in education.


Antonio's academic accomplishments revealed his enduring commitment to development and leadership. After graduating from Valdosta State University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice in 1999, he went on to get a Master's in Public Administration in 2011.


Later, in 2020, he achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA while pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at Georgia College & State University. His desire to improve both himself and people around him was reflected in these academic achievements.

Antonio held a number of significant positions during his career, including those of Director of Operations at the Jonathan Spikes Foundation, Special Education Teacher at Clayton County Public Schools, Behavioral Specialist at Ombudsman, Career Advisor at Fulton County Government, and Broward County School Board Educator.


He was respected for his leadership, flexibility, and capacity to build relationships with people from different backgrounds in each role. In addition to Antonio's skill, those who knew him well recall his lively personality, generosity, and sense of humor.


Whether in a classroom, a business meeting, or just a casual talk, he had a knack of making people feel better. Friends and coworkers remember his cheerful demeanor, work ethic, and timeliness.


"Man, it is hard to believe I am writing this RIP post for my friend, my Q-Dawg, my 'favorite' go-to home inspector in Atlanta," said one tribute very eloquently. Even though you are no longer with us, Antonio, you will always be remembered. You will be truly missed by my clients and myself.


Others expressed the same opinion, emphasizing the universal resonance of Antonio's character.
