 The victim who was hit and killed by a car in Shreveport has been identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.

Just before 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, the incident took place in the 300 block of Hearne Avenue. The coroner's office reports that Blake Tannen, 40, was hit by a car while he was strolling close to J.S. Clark Middle School. Tannen was declared dead at the scene after suffering several injuries from blunt force trauma.

The inquiry is still ongoing, but police have not yet made any public statements.
