 Losh, Eric, from Erie, Colorado Death Cause and Obituary: The family of Mountain View Fire Rescue (MVFR) is deeply saddened by the sudden death of Engineer Eric Losh, who died on August 19, 2025, in an off-duty accident. The department and the larger Parker, Colorado community, where Eric served with unflinching dedication for almost 15 years, are both deeply saddened by his passing.

After joining Mountain View Fire Rescue in 2010, Eric immediately established himself as a cornerstone of professionalism, morality, and teamwork. He handled his profession with expertise, humility, and a strong sense of purpose; he was always willing to help and step up when needed. Eric was someone you could always rely on, whether he was handling crises, coaching new hires, or helping his team through difficult times.

He was an excellent engineer due to his cool demeanor and technical proficiency, but what really made him stand out was his generosity, sardonic humor, and unwavering leadership. He was more than just a firefighter; he was a friend to many, a brother to those in the department, and a source of support when people needed it most.

Eric changed the lives of many people during his nearly ten and a half years of service, both at work and in the community and at the firehouse. Peers from several agencies held him in the highest regard and he was renowned for his unfailing dependability both on and off duty. He was more than simply a comrade to those who had the good fortune to work with him; he was family.

Words cannot heal the void left by his demise. The shock and sadness that MVFR experienced is evidence of how much Eric was adored and respected. The department is grieving together, preserving the memory of a guy who sacrificed so much for the sake of others.

Mountain View Fire Rescue will provide information to the community in the days ahead while funeral plans are still being arranged. As they go through this difficult time, we ask that everyone remember Eric's family, friends, and fellow firefighters.

In addition to his service, we recognize Engineer Eric Losh for being a remarkable individual. The lives he rescued, the coworkers he inspired, and the community he bravely and empathetically defended will all carry on his legacy.
