Wooden, Taja The city of Indianapolis, Indiana Death Cause and Obituary: We announce the passing of Taja Wooden, also known as “Poohie,” a lively soul from Indianapolis, Indiana, who impacted so many lives with her laughter, brightness, and steadfast love. Our hearts are heavy with grief, but they are also full of love. After an unanticipated medical crisis that left her struggling for her life in her dying moments, Taja passed away lately.
Taja was a presence more than just a name. She had the kind of energy that made others feel safe, seen, and loved; she offered assistance without hesitation; and she brought laughter wherever she went. Poohie was a dedicated mother, a faithful friend, and a genuine light in the lives of countless people. Her legacy is one of fortitude, compassion, and unforgettably joyful moments.
Her closest friends and family will recall the incessant chats—at times, she spoke for eight hours every day—the laughter that filled the rooms, and the way she never wavered from who she was. She continued to be "Poohie" in her last moments, laughing, making jokes, and showing her affection to everyone in her vicinity.
Taja was just as silly, affectionate, and vibrant as she had always been before the event that altered everything. No symptoms were present. No cautions. And suddenly everything changed. The pride of knowing that her loved ones were there, supporting her, fighting for her, and giving her a chance to continue will last as long as the anguish of that moment.
One close friend said, "You knew that I quit venting on Facebook years ago, but you tore me to pieces, Poohie." How do we stop talking for eight hours a day and start doing nothing? It will take me a minute to do this.
The death of someone so genuine, so vibrant, and so cherished cannot be easily accepted. However, in honoring Taja, we cling to the happiness she brought into the world—the mother who prioritized her children, the friend who would do anything for her loved ones, and the lady who transformed everyday events into enduring memories. Even in her last battle, she displayed bravery and spirit. She was not overlooked. She was not abandoned. She did not leave a mark behind.
Taja Wooden's children, relatives, and innumerable friends will carry her name, her tales, and her laughter with them forever. Her essence endures in every shared memory, song, and smile.
Poohie, you were cherished beyond measure. You are still. And you shall remain forever.
Peace be with you, lovely.
