Chris Stansik, Michigan's Livonia Death Cause and Obituary: We regret to inform you of the demise of Chris Stansik, a cherished former Adrian College student-athlete and proud alumnus. This past week, Chris went away, leaving a lasting impact in the hearts of everyone who knew and admired him, as well as in the world of collegiate athletics.

One of Adrian College's most successful hockey players, Chris Stansik graduated in 2012 and left his mark on the school's hockey history books. Chris, a defenseman renowned for his perseverance, leadership, and skill on the rink, was selected to the All-American team twice and to the All-Conference team four times, which is a testament to his skills and reliability during his time in college.

On October 15, 2007, during a 9-2 victory over SUNY Potsdam, Chris scored the first goal in the history of the Adrian College hockey program. He participated in 113 games during his career and scored an astounding 135 points, which is a noteworthy accomplishment for a defenseman. As a result of his leadership qualities on and off the ice, he was named Co-Captain for the 2011–2012 campaign.

As an appropriate homage to a player who contributed to the program's success and foundation, Chris Stansik was inducted into the Adrian College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024 in appreciation of his exceptional accomplishments.

Outside of the rink, Chris was respected for his work ethic, humility, and the good influence he had on coaches, players, and the Adrian community at large. In addition to the hockey community, his passing is a great loss to everyone who had the honor of knowing him as a friend, teammate, and leader.

On Thursday, September 4, St. Alphonsus Church, 7455 Calhoun Street, Dearborn, Michigan 48126, will host a visitation and burial service in his honor. The funeral liturgy will immediately follow the viewing, which is scheduled for 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

When we consider Chris's life, we recall not just his sporting achievements but also the moral fiber and leadership he shown on a daily basis. Though greatly missed, he will always be remembered. All of the lives he impacted along the way and the Adrian College hockey family will carry on his legacy.

In addition to finding solace in the recollections of a life well spent and an enduring legacy, Chris Stansik's family, friends, and former teammates may rest in eternal peace.
