Authorities are looking into the terrible collision that killed Brittany McDuffie, a 25-year-old woman who was riding an electric scooter when she was struck by a car on Sunday.
Just before five in the morning on Friday, the event happened on Creek Ridge Road between Riverside Drive and U.S. 29. According to the police, McDuffie was struck from behind by a car going in the same direction when she was riding her scooter east. She was sent for treatment after suffering severe injuries, but two days later she died.
Authorities attested to the fact that the implicated driver stayed on the scene and assisted detectives. The Crash Reconstruction Unit of the Greensboro Police Department is still looking into the incident, examining visibility, road conditions, and possible causes.
The community and McDuffie's family are mourning the loss of a young life that was brutally cut short due to her untimely death. The inquiry is still under progress.
