The death of Firefighter-Paramedic Jerry W. Guzman, who died Friday while performing his duties, is being deeply felt by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Guzman, a well-liked and committed department employee, was assigned to Azusa's Fire Station 32. He left a legacy of bravery, service, and sacrifice during his 23 years of devoted service to the L.A. County Fire Department and the surrounding areas.
"We express our deepest sympathies & condolences to the Guzman family," the department wrote in a poignant message posted on social media.
Although the circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been made public, his demise has caused great sadness among friends, family, and other firemen.
In addition to his decades of service, Jerry W. Guzman will be remembered for his unshakable dedication to saving lives and helping others. Everyone who was impacted by him over his career, including the fire service family, is deeply saddened by his passing.
