Harrison Count, Ana Zarkovic, Ohio Accident, Cause of Death

Ana Zarkovic, Ohio's Harrison County Accident, Cause of Death: As we come to terms with Ana Zarkovich's sad death, our hearts are devastated. Ana was a member of our extended family in addition to being my daughter Aubrey's best friend. She was a blessing in our lives, and her passing leaves an emptiness that will never be satisfied.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has contacted us to see how we are doing during this time. There are no words to describe the significance of your prayers, messages, and love. A particular thank you to everyone who genuinely recognized Aubrey and Ana's close relationship. Their bond was a sisterhood more than just a friendship. We are navigating the unique agony of losing someone so close to us one step at a time.

There are no right words at times of sadness, as I discovered when I lost my sister more than 21 years ago. Nobody's words can ease the loss or take away the anguish. However, we can help one other by simply being there—by listening, by sitting in quiet, or by offering assistance in any way that is required. Grief affects everyone differently, thus it is critical that we all give one another the room and respect they need to grieve in their own unique ways.

I kindly ask that you remember to pray for everyone impacted by this tragic loss. Keep Goran and Angela Zarkovich in your hearts above all else. The loss of a child should never have to be endured by a parent. Their grief is unfathomable, and they are in dire need of our community's love and support.

We are asking everyone to wear pink, a color that symbolizes the light, love, and joy Ana provided to all who knew her, in remembrance of her lovely life and to express our solidarity with her family and the entire Harrison Hills Middle School Husky community.

We really do miss her. We will always love her. And her memories will always be a part of us.
