Heiberg Nathan and Heiberg Lucas Obituary: BCA names officers and victims in August 11 fatal shooting in Moorhead: Continue Reading

 The individuals involved in Monday night's officer-involved shooting in Moorhead have been named by the Minnesota BCA.

Nathan Heiberg, age 42, and Lucas Heiberg, age 41, perished. Michael Anderson, Kyle Seehusen, and Tyler Seehusen are the policemen that fired their weapons and are currently on critical incident leave.

They are all members of Red River Valley SWAT and work for Fargo Police. According to the BCA, it will not suggest filing charges against the police. Shortly after 8:45 on Monday night, police were called to a domestic assault at an apartment in the 2400 block of Third Avenue North.

Officers were informed by the woman that two males had beaten her and that two children were present in the flat.

Officers began to enter, and a shot was fired.

Apartments in the vicinity were evacuated after Red River Valley SWAT was called in.

After SWAT officers entered the apartment, gunfire broke out.

Nathan Heiberg passed away in a hospital, while Lucas Heiberg died on the spot.

Unharmed, the woman and two children were discovered inside the flat.
