 We regret to inform you of the demise of Francine Preskar, who was 53 when she died in an accident on Friday, August 15, 2025. A family, friends, and community will always treasure Francine's memories despite her untimely death.


She went away quietly at Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by the people she cared about the most. Francine was a wonderful mother to their beloved son, Alexander, and a loyal wife to her husband, Edward.


Her family was the center of her existence, and she gave her all to provide them with unconditional love, support, and care. Everyone who knew her could see how close she was to her loved ones, and the outpouring of love and concern from friends and the community at large mirrored her family's loss.


Francine, the adored daughter of Amalija and Karl Preskar, brightened her parents' days with her warmth and friendliness. In addition, she was a beloved sister to Dave, who was married to Joyce, and Lillian, who was married to Jesse, creating enduring relationships based on love, devotion, and friendship.

Cassidy, Hannah, Edyn, Bridger, and Lochlan, Francine's nieces and nephews, recall her as a continual source of support, humor, and direction. Her brothers-in-law Matthew and Andrew, her brother-in-law David Mole and his wife Jessica, and her in-laws Ian and Anne Mole all adored her.


Francine's compassion, caring nature, and sincere love for people characterized her life. She had a lasting influence on everyone she came into contact with and had a close bond with her friends and extended relatives.


Animals held a unique place in Francine's heart, especially her cherished dog Zima, who never wavered in her devotion. Her compassion and caring nature were mirrored in her commitment to the welfare of all living things.


Francine was a committed and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in her professional life. She had a special talent for consoling, healing, and uplifting all who came to her care, and her dedication to her patients was unshakeable.

Her professionalism, soothing demeanor, and enduringly good influence on their lives were frequently praised by her clients. Francine was a recognized and trusted part of her community because of her love for what she did and the sensitivity she shown in her work.


On Friday, August 22, 2025, the funeral mass for Francine was celebrated in St. Alexander Catholic Church, located at 50 Pelham Town Square, Fonthill. After the funeral, family, friends, and community members were able to honor her life and pay their condolences at Hillside Cemetery, where she was buried.


Donations in Francine's honor can be donated to the Welland & District SPCA as a token of sympathy, honoring her lifelong passion for animals and dedication to their care and protection.


Despite being tragically brief, Francine Preskar's life was full of generosity, love, and deep relationships. Her family, friends, and everyone else she touched with her kindness, generosity, and warmth will carry on her legacy. She will always be remembered and sadly lost.
