Mark R. Wallum Accident: Deadly SR-395 Crash Near Pasco Names Victim: Continue Reading
Mark R. Wallum, 76, was killed and many people were injured in a fatal collision that happened on Sunday morning on State Route 395 close to Pasco. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is looking into the incident.
The crash occurred at the crossroads with Crestloch, approximately eight miles north of Pasco. According to troopers, a northbound car struck a southbound car that tried to turn left onto eastbound Crestloch. Both cars were totaled due to the impact's extreme damage.
Tragically, Wallum, a passenger in the southbound vehicle, passed away right there. Along with the northbound driver, who was also injured, two other passengers in the same car survived with injuries and were sent to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. All people were wearing seatbelts, according to authorities, and impairment has been ruled out.
The WSP incident Reconstruction Unit is still looking into what caused the incident.
Family and friends are mourning the loss of a cherished community member due to Wallum's unexpected death.
