The person who died in a motorcycle accident that happened in Champaign on Saturday night has been identified by the Champaign County Coroner.
At before 7:30 p.m., Matthew Mayberry, 37, died from his injuries sustained when his motorbike struck a light post at the junction of Bloomington Road and Mattis Avenue, according to Coroner Laurie Brauer.
Mayberry was brought to a nearby hospital after suffering several possibly fatal injuries, where he eventually died. It is recommended that local companies or residents with outdoor security cameras get in touch with the authorities.
