 Miami, Florida resident Alejandrina "Nina" Casco Romero Death Cause and Obituary: Alejandrina “Nina” Casco Romero passed away late last night at Jackson Memorial Hospital after suffering a sudden heart attack, her family and friends announced with great sadness and heavy hearts. Nina was seventy-seven. She leaves behind a legacy of love, caring, and unfailing support, thus her departure is a great loss for everyone who knew her.

Nina was a stronghold in her family and community, not just a neighbor or relative. Known for her kind heart and caring nature, she played a variety of roles throughout her life, serving as a mother figure to many people in addition to being a cherished sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Nina had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and loved, whether it was by giving advice, opening her house, or just being there when things were tough.

Her life served as a silent example of selflessness. Nina generously donated her time, her resources, and most importantly, her heart. She was never one to look for acclaim or credit. She was regarded by many who were lucky enough to know her as a second mother or grandmother—someone whose love knew no bounds, whose words were wise, and whose presence was consoling.

Nina's heart never left her native country, even though she spent many years living in Miami. She frequently expressed to her loved ones her desire to be buried at Juticalpa, Olancho, Honduras, the site where she was born. Her adventure started there, and her family now wants to take her back there so she can make one more trip home.

The family is currently looking for assistance to pay for the expenses of shipping Nina's remains to Honduras and giving her the dignified send-off she so richly deserves in order to honor her memory and realize her sincere wish. Helping Nina come home is one way we can all show our appreciation to someone who sacrificed so much, and those who knew her well know how much she loved and respected her roots.
