Whanganui, New Zealand's Jonty Ryan Death Cause and Obituary: We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of Jonty Ryan's demise. He was a beloved brother, a beloved son, and a valued part of the Fordell School and the larger community. Jonty was Evie's devoted older brother and the adored son of Amy and Aaron Ryan. His disappearance leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, as his presence was a source of strength and brightness.
Jonty had a bright smile that could brighten any space and make people feel better. He was a quiet assistant who never sought attention but was always available to fill in when needed. Jonty's acts were altruistic and sincere, whether they involved helping his friends or showing compassion to those in need. He freely gave of himself because it was who he was, not because he wanted recognition or applause.
The way Jonty cared for his younger contemporaries, particularly those at Fordell School and his sister Evie, was the clearest indication of his gentle leadership and innate empathy. He was a kind and inclusive person. Regardless of the size of the job, he was always the first to apply, and he did so with humility and quiet pride. Many found solace and inspiration in his resolute and powerful presence.
Jonty had a particular affection for Tawa House. He put his heart and soul into everything he did, whether it was playing rugby, running cross-country, or being outside, especially in the mud. His passion for athletics and the great outdoors was a reflection of his lively, daring nature as well as his strong ties to the land and local culture.
Jonty's brilliance persisted after he transferred to Feilding High School. With the farming world all around him, he settled in and kept doing well. Everyone who knew him could see that he had discovered a place where his skills, passions, and diligence were valued. The people at Fordell School were still quite proud of the young man he was growing into.
Jonty was a living example of what it meant to care, to try, and to always give your best to the Fordell staff and students. His legacy is one of generosity, calm fortitude, commitment, and a never-ending desire to provide a hand. His time as a student, and later his ongoing relationship as Amy and Aaron's son and Evie's loving sibling, greatly enhanced Fordell School.
Jonty Ryan was someone who, simply by existing, improved the world. His memory, his grin, and his energy will always be a part of us, even though his time with us was far too brief. We pay tribute to his memory with pride, affection, and profound sadness. Peacefully rest, Jonty. We shall always remember you.
