 Obituary and Death News for Annabelle Andrews: 15-Year-Old Traveler Died in Darlington County Accident


Annabelle Andrews, 15, died in a horrific incident in Darlington County on Friday night, according to officials. Around 10:30 p.m., the event happened on West Old Camden Road, about six miles north of Hartsville.


The front of the car was struck by a pickup truck that was trying to pass another car going west, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP). The car struck a power pole and overturned into a ditch as a result of the incident.


According to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee, Annabelle Andrews, a sophomore at McBee High School, was a passenger in the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene. The pickup driver was okay, while the driver of the automobile was sent to Carolina Pines Hospital with injuries.

According to authorities, the SCHP is still looking into the collision.


The community laments the death of a young person, and authorities are still advising people to drive carefully in order to avoid future disasters.
