We are deeply saddened to report the passing of Ramona Baylor, a beloved and devoted City of Shreveport employee.
Ramona, who demonstrated integrity, enthusiasm, and steadfast devotion, dedicated more than 30 years of her life to public service. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and mentor to many, and her commitment went beyond her work responsibilities. She worked in a variety of divisions during her extraordinary career, making a lasting impression on coworkers, the public, and the community she so devotedly served.
Her loss will be much lamented since she is an important member of the Department of Water and Sewer and the Field Operations Division. Those who had the honor of knowing her will be inspired by her legacy of generosity, commitment, and service.
We send our deepest sympathies to Ramona's friends, family, and coworkers during this trying time. Please remember them in your prayers and thoughts.
Even though we grieve this immense loss, we take solace in the knowledge that her contributions and spirit will live on, and that we shall eventually be reunited.
Ramona Baylor's life and service continue to be a beacon of compassion, commitment, and the significant impact one person can have.
