Suspect at Large: Da Real Von Was Shot Dead in South Frogtown, Saint Paul Continue Reading

 The shooting death of Da Real Von in the South Frogtown neighborhood early on Saturday morning is being looked into by authorities. Following reports of shooting, Saint Paul police arrived at the 300 block of Edmund Avenue just before 4:15 a.m.


Da Real Von was discovered by police laying in the street with gunshot wounds to his neck and chest. Before Saint Paul Fire medics took him to Regions Hospital, where he was declared dead, responders started CPR right away.


According to police accounts, the suspect entered in a ridesharing car and made his getaway on foot through the rear of a nearby house. The suspect is described as a Black man in his early twenties who is around six feet tall, has a heavy build, wears a black top, and has dreads. No one has been arrested despite police using a drone, canine units, and a perimeter to conduct the search.

Crime scene investigators have recorded evidence at the location, and detectives have spoken with witnesses. The reason for the shooting is still being looked into. To determine the official cause of death, an autopsy will be conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
