 Figures from the underworld Gilbert Shino Maradona Yalda was killed and seriously wounded in the Sydney pub shooting. Gunmen opened fire outside the Harold Park Hotel in Forest Lodge on Saturday night, killing one man and badly wounding another in a bar shooting in Sydney.Since then, police have identified the survivor as 31-year-old Maradona Yalda, a man known to have a price on his head and suspected of having ties to Sydney's criminal underworld. 

Yalda is likely to live despite being taken to the hospital in a critical condition.Gilbert Admon Shino, 39, his partner, was less lucky. Around 6:40 p.m., bullets showered the hotel, striking Shino many times before he died at the spot. Authorities think Shino, who was not a major target but was known to the police, might have just happened to be in the wrong location at the wrong time.

According to witnesses, the two had been inside the pub all afternoon when the assailants who were waiting in line began their assault. The town of Forest Lodge is disturbed by the blatant shooting.

As specialized police units searched the area, emergency personnel promptly established a crime scene and blocked off Wigram Road and the adjoining streets. As investigations continue, detectives have confirmed that police would be more visible around the Inner West.

In order to find the shooters, police are requesting information from the public, such as dashcam or CCTV footage. It is recommended that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or Glebe Police.

In a statement, Shino's distraught family laments his untimely passing:

Our dear Gilbert Admon Shino passed away far too soon, and we mourn his death with great sadness.

On Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m., condolences will be accepted at St. Mary's Assyrian Church of the East, located at 92/94 Polding Street, Smithfield, NSW.
