"We Remember Lorraine Ford DeMan with Heavy Hearts"
We mourn the unexpected and untimely death of our dear Lorraine Ford DeMan, who passed away this past weekend.
For many others, she was a light, a teacher, a performer, and an inspiration, but to us, she was just "Lulu"—a sister, a daughter, and a friend. Lorraine's life was a lovely fusion of talent, humor, enthusiasm, and kindness. From mentoring her pupils with kindness and wisdom to enthralling audiences on stage with her enthusiasm, wit, and fascinating storytelling, she put her all into all she did.
As a devoted teacher, a talented performer, and a beloved family member, Lorraine had an incalculable impact on hundreds of lives. She had a talent for sharing stories that made people laugh, listen intently, and leave a lasting impact. Every room was filled with her presence, and there is an incalculable gap left by her absence.
Today's picture of Lulu and I outside our childhood house on Wyman Street in Arlington, Massachusetts, serves as a reminder of our shared heritage and the memories that will last a lifetime.
Despite her untimely death, Lorraine left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that will endure in the hearts of everyone who loved her.
