Amanda Caruso, age 28; New York Obituary Sadly, the resident passed away.

We regret to inform you of the demise of our dear Amanda Caruso, who passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 28. Despite being far too brief, Amanda's life was full of love, resilience, and an inspirational will to live life to the fullest despite all of life's obstacles.

Amanda is survived by her father, Steven Caruso, and mother, Janice Roback Caruso; her loving siblings, Karli, Leeanna, and Trevor Caruso; her fiancé, Matthew Henning, who was her true love; her Nana, Stephanie Roback; her future in-laws, Michael Henning Jr. and Noreen Henning (who passed away recently); and innumerable aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

Even though Amanda had serious health issues, everyone who knew her was impacted. Amanda was given a life-saving double lung transplant at the age of 17 months after being diagnosed with a rare lung illness at a young age. She had a healthier life for many years because to this priceless gift, and she never took anything for granted. Amanda showed the same fortitude and tenacity that she had displayed throughout her life when she bravely decided to seek a second lung transplant when her health started to deteriorate once more.

Amanda achieved many noteworthy feats along the way. After graduating from Webster Thomas High School in 2014, she continued to pursue education. She later obtained her licensure as an esthetician from Continental School of Beauty, attended Monroe Community College to obtain an Associate's degree in Health Information Technology, and most recently obtained her certification as an Oncology Data Specialist. From her first employment at Bill Gray's Restaurant at the age of 15, Amanda has committed her life to meaningful work. She went on to work as a surgical coordinator at Unity Hospital, Hand and Stone Spa, and most recently, Rochester Regional Health, as a data entry specialist for the Cancer Tumor Registry.

Along with her work, Amanda was an enthusiastic businesswoman who spent more than two years operating Tiny Woman Creations, a profitable handcrafted jewelry company. Many people admired her work, and her inventiveness and spirit of entrepreneurship were evident. She also enjoyed posting updates on her life and health struggle on social media, where her optimism, fortitude, and unshakable faith touched the hearts of thousands of people. Amanda's courage and honesty were praised by her followers, particularly as she shared her experiences waiting for her second lung transplant.

Amanda's legacy will endure in the hearts of everyone she touched, despite the fact that her life was cut short. She was an inspiration to everyone who had the honor of knowing her, a genuine source of happiness and love, and a beacon of light. Her unending kindness, laughter, and optimism made a lasting impression on the world.
