 North Carolina's Drue Eliot Death Cause and Obituary: Following a valiant and inspirational struggle with metastatic Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer, Dr. Eliot passed away. The Eliot family and the larger college football community mourn his departure with heartfelt regret and affection. In 2019, while her father, Brian “Coach” Eliot, was the defensive coordinator at the University of Kansas, Drue received her initial diagnosis.

Since then, Drue has handled every obstacle posed by her disease with remarkable fortitude, poise, and resolve. Many people, including colleagues, classmates, players, coaches, and fans across, found encouragement in her path.
