Hairston, Eddie III Chesterfield County, Virginia Eddie Hairston III, a victim of the Chesterfield County fatal shooting, has passed away.

 The shooting death of 38-year-old Eddie Hairston III on Thursday morning, September 25, 2025, is being investigated by Chesterfield County Police.

Officers were called to the 12300 block of Moores Lake Road at around 4:07 a.m. in response to a complaint of a fatal assault. When they arrived, they discovered Hairston with numerous gunshot wounds. At the scene, he was declared dead.

According to preliminary findings, Hairston was shot by an adult female resident of the home during a domestic argument after he allegedly threatened to kill her and assaulted her while carrying a gun. The incident is currently being handled by authorities as a justified homicide. According to the police, the community is not under any continuous danger.
