Hastings Middle School Student-Athlete Has Died; Obituary for Carter Edell, Upper Arlington Suicide Death

Carter Edell was a respected part of the Upper Arlington, Ohio community and a well-liked student whose life was sadly taken way too soon. Carter, who attended UA Hastings Middle School and Upper Arlington High School, was well-known for his friendliness, warmth, and the way his grin could brighten any space.

Carter was well-known among his friends and teachers for his commitment to his studies and participation in school events. People around him respected and admired him because of his innate curiosity, willingness to serve others, and collaborative spirit. Carter captivated his friends and classmates with his wisdom, compassion, and strong sense of community despite his youth.

Outside of school, Carter liked to engage in extracurricular activities, spend time with friends and family, and pursue interests that made him happy. His hobbies demonstrated his compassion and love of life, which made him a devoted friend and a delight to everyone who had the good fortune to know him.

Sadly, Carter passed away much too soon, leaving his friends, family, and the entire Upper Arlington neighborhood in shock. Although his absence will be greatly lamented, the light and love he provided to those around him will continue to influence their lives.

The community and the Edell family urge everyone to remember Carter by being compassionate, encouraging one another, and savoring each minute spent with loved ones—values that Carter personified during his brief but significant existence.
