Lewis, Janaysia Columbus, Ohio Shooting: Court Appearance of Woman Charged in East Columbus Triple Shooting

 The woman slain in a triple shooting at the Sterling Court Apartments in East Columbus has been identified by authorities as Janaysia Lewis, age 22.

At approximately 9:24 p.m., police arrived at the apartment building close to Stelzer Road and discovered three ladies with gunshot wounds. Lewis was declared deceased after being taken to the hospital in critical condition. The two other victims were shot in the hand and foot. It is anticipated that both will recover.

According to investigators, 32-year-old Zandra Wignal, the alleged shooter, acknowledged firing the rounds. Wignal allegedly shot Lewis after he shoved her during a fight, and then she shot the other two women when they attempted to seize the pistol from her, according to a criminal complaint.

A judge set Wignal's bond at $750,000 when she appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court on Friday. Her preliminary hearing on the murder charge is set for September 26.
