Mike Starnes Car Accident in Prestonsburg, Kentucky: Friends and Family Lament Prestonsburg's Mike Starnes' Death in Floyd County Collisions

 Tuesday night, a single-vehicle collision in Floyd County claimed the life of one individual. Prestonsburg, Kentucky resident Mike Starnes has been identified as the victim.

The crash on Route 404 at David was reported to the Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post at 6:42 p.m. According to the preliminary inquiry, Starnes was driving a 2020 Buick Encore when it veered off the road and struck an embankment.

The Floyd County Coroner's Office declared Starnes dead at the scene.

Trooper Hunter Kidd, who was supported at the site by members of Post 9, the David Volunteer Fire Department, and the Lifeguard Ambulance Service, is still investigating the crash.
