His love for others, his religion, and his heart shaped every aspect of his life. Everyone who knew and loved Mitch and Jan is burdened by their loss, and his untimely and sad death has left a pain that words cannot heal.

Mitch made a lasting impression because he lived with purpose, humility, and unshakeable faith, not because he was looking for attention or recognition. He lived out loud his deep love for the Lord. Mitch made his beliefs, which are based on friendship, family, and faith, very evident via his words, deeds, and prayers.

He was a true soul, a loving family man, and a faithful friend. Never too busy to provide a helping hand, a laugh, or a word of encouragement, he gave his all to everyone around him. Knowing Mitch made me feel loved, supported, and seen. In addition to uniting people and uplifting others, he left a lasting legacy of courage and kindness.

Everyone has been deeply touched by this sad catastrophe. An enormous loss like this cannot be explained. Even still, we cling to the hope Mitch himself held: that we will cross paths again and that this life is not the end. We pay tribute to his life till then by loving completely, steadfastly, and unreservedly, just as he did.
