Obituary of Micah Christine Hayes, Springport, IN, Community Laments Death

Following a valiant fight with breast cancer, Micah Christine Hayes, age 33, of Springport, Indiana, departed this life peacefully on September 12, 2025, with great sadness and sincere remembrance. Her bravery, grace, and unshakable love will always be remembered, but her loss leaves a deep hole in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

Micah and Amelia (Cox) Perry were born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 17, 1992. Micah was raised with a strong will and a compassionate disposition. After completing her studies at Pendleton Heights High School in 2011, she went on to Ivy Tech Community College, where she obtained degrees in medical billing and dental assisting. Because of her unwavering dedication to learning and helping others, she was highly regarded by both clients and coworkers.

Micah's family was her biggest source of pride and happiness. She was a beloved sister and daughter, a caring mother, and a loyal wife. Whether it was a simple shared joke, a family outing, or a peaceful evening at home, her life revolved around the time she spent with her husband and kids. Her love was unconditional, her words were consoling, and her presence was comforting.

In addition to her work and family life, Micah's gentle kindness, fortitude, and compassion made an impact on her neighborhood. Even while she was unwell, she continued to be a source of courage and hope for people because she had a talent for making them feel recognized and appreciated.

Micah's spirit lives on in the laughter, the family's hug, and the love she put into all she accomplished. She taught us to love without boundaries, to embrace every moment, and to meet obstacles head-on.

On September 20, 2025, family, friends, and community members are invited to attend the funeral and viewing services at Middletown First Baptist Church in honor of her wonderful life.

We offer our sincere condolences to her family, particularly to her cherished husband and kids. I pray that Micah's light will always shine in your hearts.

Sleep soundly, Micah. We will miss you terribly.
