The news of Kevin Soto's passing has devastated loved ones. Social media has been used by friends to post condolences, memories, and words of sorrow. A friend shared a heartfelt memory of their recent attempt to get together when they were both in Puerto Rico. The two had reconnected while organizing the high school reunion, even if the timing did not work out at the time.

We tried to meet up while we were both in Puerto Rico, but we were never in the same location at the same time. I am glad we had time to arrange our high school reunion and spend that evening together, catching up. It meant a lot to me when you told me, in the sweetest way, "You never changed, Vanessa." Kevin Soto, you will be sincerely missed.

Kevin's death is a heartbreaking reminder of both the perils of fast driving and the frailty of life. It is up to his friends and family to remember him, to treasure the times they spent with him and the good influence he had on those who were lucky enough to know him.
