Razeil Robinson Obituary News: Following the deadly Akron shooting, Razeil Robinson, 27, is remembered as a "calm, peaceful soul."

 Razeil Robinson, 27, was shot and died Thursday morning while seated at a picnic table on Rosemary Boulevard. Akron Police homicide detectives are looking into the shooting.

Around 7 a.m., officers arrived at the 1000 block of Rosemary Boulevard and found Robinson wounded by many gunshot wounds. At the scene, he was declared dead.

According to family relatives, Robinson is a soft-spoken, modest, and polite man.

His soul was calm and serene. Why they would do that to him just baffles me. Why would they murder him? LaTasha Robinson, his mother, told News 5 that her son did nothing.

She clarified that her kid battled mental health issues and typically only left the house to do grocery shopping or hang out with family. She knew Razeil had left home earlier, so when she heard shooting in the neighborhood on Wednesday night, she grew worried. Police confirmed her darkest thoughts a few hours later.

Investigators found that Robinson had been seated at a picnic table outside SMB International, a company he frequently visited to smoke cigarettes and chat with employees. According to the police, he was shot while seated, ran a short distance, and then collapsed close to the company's sign.

Detectives currently have no suspects and no proof that Robinson was singled out for a particular motive.

According to Akron Police Lt. Michael Murphy, "it is frightening because what we do know is that there is someone capable of perpetrating a crime like this still out on the loose." Officers are searching the area for CCTV footage and evidence, he added.

Now, while they demand justice, the Robinson family is getting ready to bury Razeil.

His mother remarked, "I just want them to sit there and rot in jail, thinking about what you done and then wondering why you did what you did."
