The cause of death for Jalesseazay Posey, 22, who was killed in a shooting in Springfield, is still being investigated.

 The shooting death of 22-year-old Jalesseazay Posey in Springfield early Thursday morning is being looked into by authorities.

At before 3:10 a.m., police were summoned to the Southern Village Shopping Center, located in the 1400 block of Delta Road. Officers discovered Posey with numerous gunshot wounds when they arrived. After being taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center, he was declared dead.

Investigators are aggressively trying to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the case, and the Springfield Police Division has stated that the shooting seems to be an isolated event. No individuals of interest or suspicions have been made public.
