 Kitterman, Timothy, San Antonio, Texas Death Cause and Obituary: We regret to inform you of the unexpected and tragic death of Timothy Kitterman, a cherished friend, mentor, and teacher who passed away on campus at MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas, following a medical incident. He was sixty-five.

Emergency personnel rushed to his side, doing everything they could to aid, leaving the staff and students in stunned silence. Mr. Kitterman unfortunately died despite their best attempts, creating a legacy that will live on forever.

Mr. Kitterman was not just a teacher. A cornerstone of the school community, he was renowned for his profound empathy, unshakable commitment, and extraordinary capacity for motivation. For many children, he paved the way for empathy, inclusiveness, and communication as an American Sign Language (ASL) teacher. He taught comprehension and connection in addition to language.

Throughout his tenure, Timothy created ASL programs that changed the district, provided voice to the voiceless, and enabled children to adopt new perspectives on the world. He was well-deservedly recognized for his efforts, and in 2019 he was named Teacher of the Year, an achievement that highlighted not just his ability in the classroom but also the affection and respect he received from both students and peers.

Mr. Kitterman was a safe haven and mentor to his students. To his coworkers, a buddy and leader. He was also a source of pride, courage, and unending kindness to his family and loved ones.

The entire community at MacArthur High School and the larger educational community are very saddened by his untimely death. Without his constant presence, his sense of humor, and his undying faith in each student's potential, the school's hallways will never be the same.

While we lament his passing, we also honor a life well lived—one that had an impact on thousands of others. The brains he influenced, the lives he transformed, and the unselfish love he offered will all carry on Timothy Kitterman's legacy.
