According to his mother, Tyisea Allen, 17-year-old T'marious Allen has been identified as the victim of the shooting on Beale Street that took place after 901 Day celebrations.

Around 10:15 p.m. on September 1, the gunshot took place between Main and Second Street, close to the intersection of Beale Street and November 6 Street. The incident occurred hours after the official 901 Day celebrations were over, according to Memphis Police.

Joshua Hicks, 16, has been charged in relation to the shooting, according to investigators. Hicks is accused with employing a firearm while committing a violent offense, reckless endangerment, and attempted second-degree murder. Following allegations that she had misled deputies about Hicks' whereabouts, his mother, Suntria Stackins, was also taken into custody and accused as an accessory after the fact.

FOX13 was able to collect video that showed many people fighting before shooting broke out. According to court documents, when deputies arrived to talk with Hicks, Stackins first denied that he was home before acknowledging that he was.

According to Hicks' family, the fight started when someone allegedly harassed his niece. Ebonie Stackins, his sister, claims that when things got out of hand, Hicks was protecting her daughter.

Another individual who was shown on camera seemingly handing a gun to someone during the altercation is still wanted by police. Hicks is now the sole person facing charges related to the shooting.
