 Tyler Robinson, the shooter of Charlie Kirk: Tyler Robinson, 22, has been found to be the shooter in a terrible tragedy that has rocked a town and left an incalculable hole in the lives of those impacted. Charlie Kirk's family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him are truly saddened by his passing.

The intense emotional suffering endured by Tyler's father, who apparently made the most agonizing choice a parent could ever consider—calling the police after his own son confessed—makes this already tragic circumstance even more terrible. His decision to stand up for justice and truth in the midst of unfathomable grief is evidence of the unsupportable burden that some families must bear after senseless acts of violence.

There are no winners in this tragedy—only broken hearts, damaged lives, and unsolved questions. A cherished son, friend, and loved one has passed away from the Kirk family. And now another family has to deal with the unthinkable fallout from a loved one's behavior. This circumstance carries more emotional and spiritual burdens than any one family should handle on their own.

Prayer, compassion, and community are needed now.

Please remember and pray for Charlie Kirk's family. There are no adequate words to describe the anguish they are experiencing. Additionally, please pray for Tyler Robinson's family, who must deal with a painful combination of grief, incredulity, and guilt. And offer up prayers for all families affected by violence, asking them to find healing, serenity, and eventually hope.

I hope that this tragedy will also serve as a reminder to value the people in our lives, to speak up when we witness suffering, and to never take a day—or life—for granted.
