Huntington, Long Island, NY's Haley Singh Suicide: Adolescent Honored for Her Kindness and Light

 Haley Singh, a beloved Long Island youngster, died last weekend in what has been called a terrible instance of suicide, leaving the Massapequa community in mourning. Haley, a sophomore at St. Anthony's High School and a proud member of the Class of 2024 at St. Rose of Lima School, is recognized for her kindness, friendliness, and positive outlook.

Both school communities, as well as everyone who knew her, are in tremendous sorrow over the news of her passing.

Faculty and staff at St. Rose of Lima School, where Haley spent her early years, expressed their feelings in an emotional statement about the significant influence she had there.

We are devastated to learn of the death of Haley Singh, a cherished community member, SROL Class of 2024, and a sophomore at St. Anthony's High School," the school noted. "The joy and energy Haley brought to our classroom will always be treasured. Her influence on her teachers, other students, and the SROL Family as a whole will always be remembered.

"During this incredibly trying time, we are offering her family our love and sincerest condolences. Please remember and pray for Haley and her loved ones.

Haley was in her second year at St. Anthony's High School, where the Friar community also united in collective grieving.

The school said, "Please pray for sophomore Haley Singh's soul to rest in peace." "As a school community, we grieve today and honor the enduring influence Haley will have on her peers, her instructors, and the whole Friar Family."

A prayer marked the end of the message:

"Grant her eternal peace, O Lord, and may her be illuminated by light forever." By God's grace, may her soul and the souls of all the faithful who have passed away rest in peace.

Haley is remembered as a good-hearted young lady who made everyone she came into contact with feel happy and compassionate. She was the type of girl who would light up a room just by being there, according to her friends, who always went above and beyond to make others feel seen and included.

She is remembered by her teachers and other students at St. Rose of Lima and St. Anthony's as a dedicated learner, a devoted friend, and a person of high morals and compassion.

Her demise has sparked a community-wide outpouring of love and introspection, as well as fresh calls for candid discussions about mental health and juvenile suicide prevention.
