The gunfire erupted around 10 p.m., leaving Milwaukee residents heartbroken and intensifying their demands for an end to the senseless violence that continues to claim the lives of youth.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers responded within a few minutes after receiving alerts about several shots fired in the area. Upon their arrival, they found Marquis with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their swift action and the immediate medical care administered on-site, he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
