Obituary and Cause of Death for Jaquveon Wright: Milwaukee Teen Charged with Killing Cousin Due to Work Conflict at Taco Bell

After allegedly fatally stabbing her cousin during a dispute that started over a job referral, a 19-year-old woman is facing serious charges. Authorities claim that on September 29, a fight broke out inside their shared house, killing 18-year-old Jaquveon Wright and accusing his cousin Rae'Jianna Hall of reckless homicide.

A criminal complaint claims that the altercation started when Hall became irate that Wright would not assist her in getting a job at the Taco Bell where he was employed. Wright shared a duplex on the north side of Milwaukee with his fiancĂ©e, family, and Hall.

According to reports, Hall asked Wright for his manager's number at around 2:00 p.m. so she could submit an application for a job. Tensions increased after Wright refused, resulting in a heated argument that swiftly got out of hand.

Hall called 911 and said that Wright "ran up and assaulted her" after she "spit on him," resulting in the police being called to the residence. She also claimed to have stabbed him in self-defense to the dispatchers. When police arrived, they discovered Wright outside the house, profusely bleeding from a neck stab wound. He was declared dead on the spot despite emergency personnel's best attempts. Wright reportedly ran out the residence "with blood streaming from his neck" before falling, according to surveillance footage.

Hall confessed to pepper-spraying Wright earlier that day and swinging a knife at him during their quarrel, puncturing his shirt, during her police interrogation. She said that once Wright came back and attacked her, she was so terrified that she raised the knife once again. Hall refused to say if the stabbing was an accident or intentional, but she acknowledged that she could have killed Wright, saying that "that was not her aim."

Wright's mother and girlfriend were among the witnesses who reported that the cousins argued frequently. According to Wright's girlfriend, Hall frequently made threats against him, laughing and threatening to "stab" or "murder" him. Just before blood started to show up on the walls, she remembered seeing Hall "swing her fists." Wright's mother claimed that shortly before the deadly incident, she heard Hall threaten to cut Wright while brandishing a huge knife.

Rae'Jianna Hall is accused of using a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and reckless homicide. Her next court date is set for October 14, and she is still being held on a $100,000 bail. The circumstances behind the fatal family argument that rocked the Milwaukee community are still being looked at by authorities.
