Obituary, Cause of Death, Victim Named, Suspect Charged in Greene County Fatal Shooting of Boris Moody Forkland
After a deadly shooting in Greene County on Monday, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has charged a suspect and named the victim.
Authorities stated that Boris Moody, 31, of Forkland, was found dead from numerous gunshot wounds at the Dollar General on the 13000 block of U.S. Highway 43.
At the Forkland Police Department's request, agents began a homicide investigation on October 6, 2025, according to ALEA's State Bureau of Investigation (SBI). Jamal Lee, 28, of Demopolis, was named as the suspect after the inquiry.
Lee is still being held at the Greene County Jail after being charged with murder. According to authorities, as the investigation progresses, further charges might be brought.
The matter will be forwarded to the Greene County District Attorney's Office for prosecution after the investigation is finished.
The family and friends of Boris Moody, whose life was sadly cut short, received condolences from officials. As they continue to pursue justice in this case, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency urges anyone with more information to come forward.
