The body of a missing Westmoreland woman, Kerrian Malcolm, 29, was discovered dead in a suitcase near Gully Banks, Savanna-la-Mar.
The body of 29-year-old Kerrian Malcolm, who had been reported missing since Thursday, October 2, was found packed inside a suitcase in the Gully Banks neighborhood of Savanna-la-Mar, leaving the locals in shock and grief.
According to police investigations, Malcolm, who lived in Savanna-la-Mar along Barracks Road, was last seen alive at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Thursday. According to reports, she was at home at the time, dressed in blue-and-white shorts and a brown sleeveless shirt. When friends and relatives could not get in touch with her, they reported her missing to the Savanna-la-Mar Police.
The disturbing find was made Saturday morning when locals discovered a suitcase filled with human remains close to Gully Banks, according to authorities. The location was promptly secured by investigators when the police were notified.
The investigation into Malcolm's death, which has been deemed a murder, is being led by detectives from the Scenes of Crime Unit and the Westmoreland Police Division.
