The incident happened close to Antrim Commons Drive, a popular business district with eateries, shops, and Interstate 81 access. While police attempted to confine the area and guarantee the protection of the surrounding civilians, a number of businesses were placed under temporary lockdown.

For several hours, traffic on Molly Pitcher Highway (U.S. Route 11) was rerouted as detectives started to process the evidence and emergency personnel transported casualties.

The identities of the victims and the suspect have not yet been made public by law authorities, nor have they addressed a potential motive for the shooting as of late Tuesday evening. The ongoing investigation is anticipated to be handled by the Forensic Services Unit and Major Crimes Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police.
