Evangelist Alexander Wurm along with his daughter Serena sadly lost their lives in a plane crash while they were offering aid to Jamaica.

 The faith community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Evangelist Alexander Wurm, aged 53, and his daughter Serena Wurm, aged 22, who tragically lost their lives in an aviation disaster on the morning of November 10, 2025, while on a humanitarian effort in Jamaica.

According to family and members of the ministry, the father and daughter were in the process of distributing aid supplies when the catastrophic event occurred. Both individuals were described as having immense compassion and led lives committed to service, faith, and a passion for helping others.

Alexander, known affectionately as Alex, founded Ignite the Fire Ministry, which aims to empower young people across the Caribbean through missions, leadership, and evangelism. Throughout his lengthy ministry career, he traveled to numerous countries, spreading messages of faith, kindness, and hope.

“A true man of prayer, he was a living embodiment of it,” shared a close friend. “He was always ready to give of himself, actively listening, teaching, and encouraging those around him.”

Following in her father’s footsteps, Serena was heavily involved in humanitarian projects and programs focused on reaching out to young people. Her kind nature and vibrant personality made her a source of encouragement and support for many. Together, they created a lasting legacy of bravery and altruism that touched the lives of innumerable individuals.

Evangelist Wurm is survived by his spouse, Candace, as well as two children — James, aged 17, and Christiana, aged 20.

As tributes flood in from across the globe, many have referred to Alexander and Serena as “beacons of faith and love,” whose impact will continue to motivate others.
