Local Bakery Proprietor Dies in Tragic Auburn Incident
AUBURN, Ala. — The community in Auburn is mourning the sudden loss of Jennifer Cooper, a valued entrepreneur, mother, and former teacher, who tragically died on Tuesday morning due to an incident at the intersection of East University Drive and Alfa Court. The crash, which involved a vehicle and a school bus, occurred at around 8 a.m. CST. Despite the rapid action from first responders, Cooper was pronounced dead at 8:09 a.m. by Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton.
Jennifer Cooper was widely recognized for owning GiGi’s Cupcakes, which had branches in Opelika, Alabama, and Columbus, Georgia.
