Tucson Double Shooting Leads to the Passing of Casey Sheehan Kneisel, Another Individual Injured; Arrest Made of Suspect

 Tucson, AZ — A violent confrontation late on Monday night resulted in the death of a man and left a woman in the hospital due to a shooting that took place at a residence and a nearby restaurant in the western region of Tucson.



According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), the incident happened around 11:00 p.m. on November 10, 2025, in the area of the 2200 block of West Ironwood Hill Drive. When officers arrived, they discovered a woman who had sustained gunshot injuries at a home. She was given immediate assistance by the Tucson Fire Department (TFD) at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

At a nearby eatery, authorities found 34-year-old Casey Sheehan Kneisel with severe gunshot wounds. Despite efforts from emergency responders, Kneisel was pronounced dead at the site

Investigation and Arrest

Homicide detectives along with the Crime Scene Unit quickly arrived at both locations to investigate the situation. Initial findings suggest that a confrontation took place at the house involving the suspect and both victims, which led to gunfire. Both individuals were hurt in the initial exchange. Kneisel, severely injured, attempted to escape to a nearby restaurant, but the suspect followed him and continued shooting inside the establishment.

A swift response from the police led to the apprehension of the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Philip Michael Chambers Jr. Chambers has been arrested and booked at the Pima County Jail under the following charges:

First-Degree Murder

Improper Use of Firearms (Prohibited Possessor)

Two Counts of Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence)

The investigation is still ongoing, and law enforcement has indicated that more information will be released as it becomes available.
