On Saturday, emergency responders from Cape Coral Fire and the Iona-McGregor Fire District arrived at the scene after receiving alerts about individuals in the water. Officials confirmed that three people were rescued, while two others were pulled from the water showing no vital signs. Despite receiving immediate CPR and extensive life-saving measures on two boats, both of the victims were pronounced dead.
